The CSV format

Three columns. That's it.

Make it in Excel or Google Sheets and save as CSV. The first row must be the header.

  • billerThe network: mtn, glo, airtel or 9mobile (use 9mobile for T2Mobile numbers).
  • phone_numberThe number to recharge in international format: 234 followed by 10 digits, e.g. 2348031234567 (drop the leading 0).
  • amountThe airtime amount in naira for that number, e.g. 1000.

Bulk airtime questions

How many numbers can I recharge at once?

Up to 1,000 numbers per upload. For a bigger list, split it into several files and upload them one after the other.

Can I mix networks in one file?

Yes. Each row has its own network, so one file can include MTN, Glo, Airtel and T2Mobile numbers.

How do I pay for a bulk recharge?

Bulk airtime is paid from your Paybeta wallet. Fund your wallet first; we check that the balance covers the whole list before sending.

What happens if one number fails?

Each number is processed separately, so the rest of the list carries on. The results report shows which numbers failed so you can follow up.

My file was rejected. What should I check?

Make sure the first row is exactly biller,phone_number,amount, the network is one of mtn, glo, airtel or 9mobile, every phone number starts with 234 and has 13 digits (e.g. 2348031234567), and every amount is a number above zero. The error message tells you which row to fix.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Bulk airtime runs from your Paybeta dashboard so every upload has a history and a report. Creating an account is free.
